Sometimes we go through periods of our life when things for one reason or another feel 'too difficult' to manage.  We may feel lost, anxious, down, overwhelmed, repeating negative patterns of behaviour, have specific issues or find ourselves struggling in personal or professional relationships with others.  Sometimes we require a safe space to look at what direction we want to move forward into and have some life direction.

In my therapy work I keep in mind the wider context we live in, and the social and environmental issues that affect our inner worlds.  I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space in which we can jointly explore the difficulties you might be experiencing.  Whatever the problem that you bring, I hope that by talking confidentially with someone who will visit things from a different perspective will help you rediscover yourself and find new ways of managing.

Sometimes people are reluctant to go to therapy as they think there is an expectation that they know what the problem is.  This can seem daunting to the person that feels 'down' but has no reason why.  While the counselling process is generally client driven and rooted in listening - this can be about your day, week or anything you choose to bring.  Often once you feel comfortable and begin to trust me and the counselling process, then deeper emotions can begin to emerge.

I also have a wonderful addition of a counselling dog called Pickle-Lily who has worked within an educational setting.  Pickle-Lily is great with everyone but especially when working with young people and adolescents who find it reassuring to have her there supporting them.

We look forward to meeting you and sharing this bit of your journey with you.
